Color & Synesthesia

I have been a painter all my life! Whether it was expressing my thoughts in science, decorating my home, raising my children, or living life, color, is an integral part of my life. I took to painting only recently. My inspiration is my world, my thoughts, desires and expectations. I live life; like there is no tomorrow and I hope you will see that through my colorful paintings. I paint my travels, my abstract thoughts and anything that fascinates me. Sometimes, I paint nothing in particular! I am fascinated by color. Growing up, they called me “little bird” because of the bold colors I used to wear. Slowly, I started noticing that even under the most dire circumstances people all over the world use bold colors in their attire. I always used color to uplift my mood and wondered if color may be the cure for depression, or is able to mend a broken spirit. Perhaps color does something positive to your limbic system and uplifts you. My art collection is called Synesthesia.  Synesthesia is the stimulation of one sensory pathway that produces an involuntary effect in a secondary sensory pathway.

Could it be that color sparks synesthesia and involuntarily evokes feelings of joy?

To study this hypothesis I have started collecting some data and if you would like to participate in this study and be entered into giveaways at the end of each month starting in April please do the following:
