Lady in Waiting 40 X 36 acrylic on Canvas by Hyacinth Paul

Lady in Waiting is a 40X36 inch acrylic on canvas .  It was done in 4 hours for the Art Off Competition attended by many people in the community and 14 local artists participated in the competition.  This painting was auctioned off and won.  The money raised during Art Off serves to fundraise for the K12 TEJAS Gallery that serves the needs of the students in downtown Dayton.    It also serves the artistic needs of people of all ages and thereby encourages everyone in the community to participate in art.  It received the Gem of Painting award of K12 TEJAS Gallery after being selected as the best painting that day Nov 7, 2020 by a jury.  This was the first time I participated in a live painting and auction event.  It was an honor to be recognized by the award and was a humbling experience.  I am happy to report that the Gallery's fundraiser generated $2000 more for this event and cost $4000 less than previous years as of today.  There is more art for sale and Purple Rain is being auctioned off  to add to the bottom line of the fundraiser.
