CLASH is a series of paintings looking into the microcosm of occurrences around us. I was significantly moved by the term CLASH proposed by Rinderu, Bushman and Lange in an article published in Science Direct where they state that “Climate Aggression and Self Control in Humans (CLASH) proposes that aggression and violence increases as climates become hotter”.  While I do not strictly adhere to the proposed thought I am using the acronym to shed light on the microcosm of occurrences around us, to render the invisible – visible and bring light to issues that affect us all. 

In the CLASH series of paintings, I hope the viewer revels in the microcosm of insignificant events all around us and sees the beauty that escapes us in a rather hectic lifestyle we have become used to. I chose acrylics to paint this subject matter on canvas with a carefree abstract palette and brush painting.

In this painting I have tried to capture the effects war has on the people and how it will affect us all in the long run.
